Why PADI Adventure Diver?

The Adventures in Diving program offers both the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.  The Adventure Diver course introduces the PADI Open Water Diver to a variety of diving experiences, and helps to improve your general diving skills while teaching new techniques and procedures.  If you complete any three adventure dives, you can earn your PADI Adventure Diver certification.  If you complete your Deep Adventure Dive, Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive and three Adventure Dives for a total of five, you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

What do I need to start?

  • Minimum Age: 15 (10 for Junior Adventure Diver)
  • PADI Open Water Diver (or Junior Open Water Diver) certification (or qualifying certification from another organisation)
  • Full Dive Kit (included with the course)
  • Your Dive Log

What will I do?

This certification includes three of the following Adventure Dives:

How long will it take?

Approximately two to three half days, depending on our schedule and how you wish to do the following:

  • Read three chapters of the Adventures in Diving book and complete the knowledge reviews
  • Attend a classroom session which includes the Adventures in Diving DVD
  • Three Open Water Speciality Adventure dives

What will I get?

We will provide you with the Adventures in Diving Crew-Pak which includes your study book and show you the Adventures in Diving DVD.  Then on successful completion of the course, PADI will send you your Adventures in Diving Card, which is valid for life and can be used as verification of your diving skill level at thousands of dive centres around the world.

After your PADI Adventure Diver certification you can take the next step by completing two more adventure dives.  If you've completed five total adventure dives that include deep and navigation, you're an PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

PADI Adventure Dives can also count towards PADI Specialty Diver certifications.  If you liked your Night Adventure Dive so much that you wanted to take a complete PADI Night Diver Specialty course, your Night Adventure Dive can count as the first dive of that specialty.
